WHO’S A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR VENEERS?
Veneers are useful for patients who have teeth that are:
- Misshapen
- Discolored
- Chipped
We only apply them to the front teeth, where they can be seen. We won’t recommend them for patients who have large fillings or minimal tooth structure. They're also designed to be permanent, so if you’re looking for a more temporary solution, you may be a better candidate for bonding.
LIVING WITH VENEERS
Veneers should last 10-20 years before needing replacement. While significant changes to your dietary habits aren’t necessary, it’s important to keep in mind that veneers can be stained. For this reason, some patients choose to avoid coffee and red wine. You should also avoid putting too much pressure on the veneers, such as by biting your nails or opening things with your teeth.
